La Quinta – Marbella luxury meets hill club setting
Some people are hard to please; they want the best of all worlds, demanding luxury, style, proximity to all amenities and yet also a location that is peaceful, private and surrounded by beautiful nature. As an estate agent you could easily become a little demoralised when faced with such tall wish lists, but in Marbella we are lucky to have a number of residential areas that actually satisfy all these demands.
La Quinta is one of them; a stylish and exclusive residential zone that is neither to big nor too small, features an excellent mix of quality villas, apartments and townhouses in spacious green and low-rise layouts, and looks out over the greenery of a golf course that threads its way through the properties. This course, the Club de Golf La Quinta, features a particularly attractive clubhouse with restaurant, outdoor terrace, stylish bar, pro shop and a full set of golf services, including an excellent driving range.
In addition to this there is the advantage of having the Gran Melía La Quinta Golf and Spa Hotel on your doorstep, a five-star deluxe resort with fine dining restaurants, cafes, a children’s club and a fabulous spa. All of this doesn’t mean that you are in some luxurious but isolated resort area either, for the lively little Spanish town of San Pedro is a few minutes by car and Puerto Banús and Marbella town just a few minutes further. Also within easy range is a great choice of shops, department stores, restaurants, sports and golf clubs, and schools – not to mention beaches.
And yet, in spite of this convenience La Quinta doesn’t have the sedentary ambience of a suburb, but rather feels like an exclusive area with a touch of rustic country charm. This is because it lies at the point where Marbella’s residential belt meets open hill country, roughly midway between the luxury villa suburb of Nueva Andalucía and the mountain village of Benahavís. The result is not just spectacular views of the La Quinta golf course and properties tucked in amid the folds of hills, but also vistas that take in both the Mediterranean Sea and the foothills of the mighty Serranía de Ronda mountain range.
The latter is a beautiful natural region that begins on your doorstep, complete with wonderful trails for hiking, dog walking, horse riding and biking. With so much on offer as well as an excellent choice of luxury villas and stylish apartments and duplex townhouses, La Quinta is understandably a highly sought-after area.
