Situated a little to the west of Marbella town, Puerto Banús is one of the most famous spots on the Mediterranean. Since it was first created back in the early seventies as an idealised Andalusian village overlooking a yacht harbour surrounded by trendy cafés, boutiques and restaurants, Puerto Banús has been a favourite of the international jet-set.
Today, many come to be pampered at glamorous beach clubs or make the most of Puerto Banús’ heady nightlife, but the area also offers café society, fine dining and great shopping facilities. The latter comes in the form of a large El Corte Inglés department store, modern shopping malls and trendy designer outlets, all within close range of the port and the luxurious properties that surround it.
Real estate within Puerto Banús is highly sought after and mostly extends along the coast on either side of the marina complex. Nearer the centre you will find very high-spec modern apartments and penthouses within a stone’s throw from all the action, while the areas bordering the port are characterised by luxurious apartment complexes set within large tropical gardens overlooking the sea. While many have facilities such as outdoor and indoor swimming pools, private spas and also direct access to the coastal promenade, the cabana bars and beach clubs along the shore add a further touch of seaside glamour.
