This small town, originally a farming community surrounded by sugarcane fields, is like a traditional Spanish oasis in the heart of the Costa del Sol. Set approximately midway between Marbella and Estepona, at around two kilometres from the sea, San Pedro is a lively little town with a charm all of its own.
It acts as the local town for the surrounding residential areas of Guadalmina, Linda Vista, Benamara, El Rosario and La Quinta, and offers a host of services including shops, tapas bars, restaurants, professional services, clinics and schools. Above all, it is a popular place to stroll around and enjoy a coffee on a typically Spanish terrace bar.
A new area has arisen on the seaside of the town, near a fine long stretch of beach, where there is a good choice of modern apartments and townhouses flanked by more established suburbs where small private villas predominate.
